The «Schützemur» is not just simply a new, innovative building project, but is capabable of producing its own generated solar power. By installing a photovoltaic system on the entire roof surface, the electricity generated will be used for the operation of the building, including lighting, building services, elevator and exterior lighting. Energy production will be approximately 41.65 MWh per year and will save CO2 emissions of 16.33 tons per year, which is equivalent to 750 trees planted per year. Each apartment has separate meters for the heating, hot and cold water consumption as well as the use of electricity coming directly from its photovoltaic system and / or from the electric provider. Coupled with the use of spring water, this results in a significant reduction in ancillary costs for each apartment, i.e. for electricity, water and waste water. The "Schützemur" is an impressive example of the integration of renewable energy into architecture and a step towards a more sustainable future.

We attach great importance to sustainability and energy efficiency. The «Schützemur» will be built according to the Minergie standard A+P to ensure the highest energy efficiency. The underfloor heating in all living rooms is centrally controlled and regulated individually and energy-saving by room thermostats per individual room. Heat is generated by an air-to-water heat pump powered by electricity from the photovoltaic system. Hot water is also provided by the photovoltaic system.

Each apartment has an individual measurement of heating heat and cold and hot water consumption to optimize energy consumption. A decentralized, controlled living space ventilation system with a heat recovery rate of 80% ensures an optimal supply of fresh air at any time of the year or day, without causing unpleasant drafts. The windows are made of wood-aluminum of Swiss production and are equipped with triple energy and sound insulation glazing with argon gas filling, which gives a Ug value of 0.5W/m2K. The glazed facade in the entrance area brings plenty of daylight into the stairwell and to the elevator and apartment entrances. These measures not only increase energy efficiency, but also create a pleasant and healthy living environment for residents.

Construction and soundproofing

The construction of the building is based on the use of exclusively breathable, mineral-bound materials. The ceilings are made of concrete, while the facade masonry is made of bricks, with exterior thermal insulation of rock wool and colored exterior plaster and clinker. Load-bearing and non-load-bearing interior walls can be made of brick or concrete. For stairs concrete covered with porcelain stoneware is used. To ensure optimal sound insulation, all apartments including ceilings and walls as well as the staircase with elevator are soundproofed and decoupled. Terraces and balconies are equipped with elegant folding glazing and can be used all year round.
